Temas como facilitação do comércio e financiamento ao combate às mudanças climáticas constam na agenda proposta
A presidência brasileira do Brics organizou reunião com os membros do grupo para apresentar as prioridades para a Trilha de Finanças em 2025.O encontro aconteceu nesta quarta-feira (26), às margens da reunião de vice-ministros de finanças do G20, na Cidade do Cabo, África do Sul.
A reunião de vice-ministros dos Brics foi co-presidida pelo Ministério da Fazenda e pelo Banco Central brasileiros. O país estava representado pela embaixadora Tatiana Rosito, secretária de Assuntos Internacionais da Fazenda, e por Paulo Pichetti, diretor do BC.
“Na Trilha de Finanças dos Brics, demos desdobramento às prioridades gerais estabelecidas pela presidência brasileira do grupo. Algum dos temas, inclusive, eleitos como prioritários pelo Brasil, são diretamente parte das discussões em nossa Trilha. Entendemos que a agenda proposta aos outros países manifesta a relevância que damos ao grupo, cuja importância para o multilateralismo deve ser ressaltada”, explica Rosito.
Foram seis os temas prioritários apresentados: facilitação do comércio e investimentos entre países dos Brics, incluindo meios de pagamento; coordenação da atuação em organismos financeiros internacionais; promoção do financiamento e de novos instrumentos para o enfrentamento da mudança climática e diálogo sobre COP 30; avanços no diálogo e cooperação em PPPs, tributação e questões alfandegárias; promoção de melhorias na regulação e supervisão da IA; e promoção do debate com think thanks e a sociedade civil, incluindo o Brics Think Tank Finance Network.
“Fomos bem-sucedidos na escolha, que reflete o direcionamento brasileiro a partir das discussões já ocorridas no interior do grupo. Houve boa aceitação das delegações e o Brasil valoriza as contribuições dos membros. Além disso, enquanto coordenação brasileira, apresentaremos estes temas à sociedade civil em encontros que serão realizados em março”, complementou a embaixadora.
No último dia 24, o Rio de Janeiro foi confirmado como sede do encontro de Ministros de Finanças e Presidentes de Bancos Centrais do Brics, que ocorrerá no dia 5 de julho. A reunião deverá ser precedida pela reunião do Conselho de Governadores do Novo Banco de Desenvolvimento.
