APM Terminals não renovará o contrato transitório com Porto de Itajaí
Itajaí |31/05/2023 – Após 22 anos de operação do Porto de Itajaí (SC), a APM Terminals anuncia que, em comum acordo com a Autoridade Portuária e o município de Itajaí, não renovará seu contrato transitório por mais 6 meses. Assim, a partir do dia 01 de julho de 2023, uma transição administrativa e operacional se iniciará com o novo arrendatário da área, a ser definido pela Autoridade Portuária de Itajaí em um novo processo.
A empresa ressalta que durante todo este período desempenhou papel importante para o desenvolvimento econômico e social da região. Em mais de duas décadas de atuação, a APM Terminals investiu mais de R$ 720 milhões em infraestrutura e equipamentos, gerou milhares de empregos e somou mais de 8 milhões de TEUs (contêineres de 20 pés) operados entre importação e exportação, trazendo negócios e fortalecendo a economia no estado de Santa Catarina.
