Manifestações antecedem o anuncio oficial do parte do Palácio do Planalto
O Governo Federal indicou o advogado João Paulo Tavares Bastos Gama para representar o processo de federalização do Porto de Itajaí. O governo também confirma que ele assumirá a superintendência do Porto após a federalização. Atualmente administrado pela Prefeitura, o terminal de Itajaí deverá retornar à gestão da companhia Docas de Santos, que operava o Porto antes da municipalização em 1995.
O presidente nacional do Sebrae, Décio Lima, e João Paulo selaram o anúncio e a definição do nome durante uma reunião. Na próxima terça-feira (18), representantes do Governo Federal e o Ministro dos Portos, Silvio Costa Filho, realizarão uma reunião no Palácio do Planalto para definir os próximos passos do processo de federalização.
O Governo Federal já havia sinalizado a intenção de retirar a administração do Porto de Itajaí da Prefeitura. Diante disso, setores econômicos da cidade lançaram manifestos contra a medida. Recentemente, o deputado federal Zé Trovão protocolou um pedido de audiência pública para discutir a situação e defender a permanência da administração local do terminal.
Manifestações
Na última sexta-feira, o Secretário Nacional dos Portos, Alex Sandro de Ávila, visitou o Porto de Itajaí para iniciar as tratativas sobre a federalização. Além disso, a reunião contou com representantes da Companhia Docas de Santos, os gestores atuais do Porto e o prefeito eleito, Róbison Coelho, que já declarou oposição à decisão.
Durante o encontro, um grupo de trabalhadores interrompeu a reunião para manifestar descontentamento com a federalização. O Secretário Nacional suspendeu o encontro para atender um representante da categoria.
No domingo (15), uma nova manifestação ocorreu em frente ao Porto. Políticos, trabalhadores, entidades, bem como a comunidade em geral protestaram de forma pacífica em defesa da permanência da autoridade municipal do terminal.
O evento buscou alertar o Governo Federal sobre a insatisfação da sociedade itajaiense com a federalização. O prefeito eleito, Róbison Coelho, e ainda assim, outras autoridades locais participaram da manifestação.
